This is an exciting opportunity to join a world leading research content and technology provider who are looking to hire a field-based Account Manager to cover a territory within the DACH region.

The Account Manager will lead and coordinate sales activity using expertise and strong relationships with colleagues, such as client relationship managers and product specialists, to meet and exceed sales targets.  Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, the key responsibilities include:

  • Developing an overall account plan to grow long-term revenue in their territory
  • Influencing and motivating colleagues to support shared goals
  • Expanding the company footprint through a focus on new and renewal business
  • Leading RFP coordination and development
  • Managing the full portfolio forecast and ensuring the plan is making progress
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of products
  • Leading content demonstrations
  • Maintaining awareness of all proposals and leading discussion with clients
  • Managing the overall health of the account including business reviews
  • Ensuring clients are satisfied and issues are resolved
  • Frequent national and international travel.

To be considered for this role you must have significant success in selling and closing customers and be able to display strong negotiation skills. The successful candidate will be a highly enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal skills in order to build and maintain strong relationships. Experience selling into libraries or HE institutions is highly desirable but not essential. A fluency in English and German is required.
