Our client, a world-leading university is looking for an e-Learning Technologist to maintain, develop, implement, support and coordinate the delivery of interactive e-learning materials, projects, and activities.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Analysing/identifying e-learning requirements to design/implement e-learning technologies for the education programmes
  • Maintaining and developing e-learning resources in collaboration with academic staff
  • Providing advice/guidance/demonstrations/training to academic/administrative staff on virtual learning environments
  • Supporting academic staff with e-learning technologies
  • Promoting the use of the VLE to all staff involved in teaching and learning
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of adopted learning technologies or resources
  • Keeping abreast of learning technology developments
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to support teaching via e-learning methods
  • Support in creating promotional materials for website and marketing campaigns.

The successful candidate will have solid experience of web-based technologies in the delivery of teaching and learning resources (eg Blackboard/Panopto) and experience of VLE or LMS administrations, maintenance, and user management. Experience developing e-learning resources using HTML5 rapid authoring tools and of instructional design and/or blended curriculum design is essential. Knowledge of video editing programmes and an understanding of teaching and learning process and online pedagogy is required, as are excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
