This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading academic content and technology provider who are looking to hire an Account Manager to lead and coordinate sales activity in the West Midlands, South West England, & Wales.

This role is exclusive to Telfer Partners.

The Account Manager will use expertise and relationships with client relationship managers and product specialists to meet and exceed sales targets. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing an overall account plan to grow long term revenue in territory
  • Influence and motivate colleagues to support and drive shared goals
  • Expanding the company footprint through focus on new and renewal business
  • Leading RFP coordination and development, collaborating with product specialists
  • Managing the full portfolio forecast and ensuring plan is making progress
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of products
  • Leading content demonstrations
  • Maintaining awareness of all proposals and potentially leading discussions with clients
  • Managing the overall health of accounts
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and resolution of issues
  • Frequent national and international travel.

Successful candidates will have proven experience in selling and closing customers, creating value, managing pipeline and be able to display successful negotiation skills at every level within client organisations. The ability to forecast and manage the sales funnel and analyse and evaluate action plans from data is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships is essential. Experience selling into academic institutions is desirable.
