Head of eLearning – Social Science

Our client, an academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years, is looking to recruit a Head of eLearning to build new products and services that will change the way social research is done, responsible for defining and leading the strategy on this newly launched online learning platform.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Leading on defining the future strategy for the platform
  • Executing the strategy for the platform
  • Growing the department into a successful e-learning business
  • Leading on resourcing and vendor decisions
  • Actively seeking out opportunities to create new e-learning products supporting the social science research sector
  • Managing the department budget and P&L
  • Championing the business, attending key conferences and events.

The successful candidate will hold a degree and have a minimum of two years’ experience in e-learning, preferably developing courses in higher education. You will be a confident communicator, a proactive, creative and logical thinker with a passion for e-learning and education, with experience of leading and managing a team. Candidates with a working knowledge of researcher workflows in the social sciences sector and experience of using lean product development tools would be at an advantage.
