An award-winning library technology start-up is looking to recruit an Inside Sales Representative to drive new leads, demos and opportunities and close Library renewals business.

Reporting to the Renewals and Senior Inside Sales Manager, and working closely with Field Sales, the main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Agreeing on prospect lists with line Manager
  • Creating leads for Field Sales to follow up on
  • Assisting with online and occasional field-based demos of the product
  • Maintaining sufficient product knowledge to create user cases for Librarians
  • Filtering customer questions and advising on technical queries about the product
  • Assisting Librarians with data analysis required to decide on a renewal or new subscription
  • Gathering and recording market feedback and circulate as required
  • Meeting key customers, spending time in the field supporting the Sales team when required
  • Occasional travel, including Library Sales Meetings, and industry events.

The ideal candidate will have previous Inside Sales experience, ideally but not essentially within Online and Library publishing Sales. A good working knowledge of any CRM system and in-house programmes with sales applications would be advantageous. Highly effective consultative, conversational sales methods are essential, as are strong communication, influencing and organisational skills. An additional European language would be preferred.
