Publishing Manager – EdTech

A world-renowned education provider is looking for a Publishing Manager to commission and deliver online course content. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international EdTech start-up.

Reporting to the CEO, the main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Creating and managing teams to design, write, edit and proof content
  • Allocating budget across projects and managing schedules
  • Commissioning new content, assuring quality and piloting/UAT with customers
  • Researching new syllabuses and revising existing courses
  • Developing/integrating a data-driven efficacy framework to assess learning outcomes
  • Assisting in the specification and testing of new platform (software) developments
  • Ensuring feedback from pilots and customer surveys is taken on board
  • Assisting in efforts to gain accreditation and endorsement from third parties
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and liaising with teachers and tutors
  • Delivering training and briefing materials for teachers, students, and parents.

The successful candidate will have significant international educational publishing experience, experience of commissioning and delivering online programmes and a postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CELTA, DELTA). ELT/EFL teaching/publishing knowledge is essential as is the ability to build relationships remotely. You must have familiarity with LMS and teaching technologies and be a creative, confident and resilient individual. Experience working within a start-up environment would be advantageous but not essential, as is fluency in a foreign language.
