This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading research, content, and technology provider who are looking for a Research Solutions Sales Manager – EMEA to generate new sales from accounts within the region and to sell subscription packages to universities, research institutions and relevant organisations.

Reporting to the Solutions Sales Director – EMEA, the main responsibilities include:

  • Driving calls, emails, and proposals to generate sales with existing and new customers
  • Hitting budgeted sales targets for solutions across agreed territories and accounts
  • Managing all leads, qualifying/following sales process through trial, closing deals
  • Performing effective online demos to prospects
  • Promoting/representing the team at industry events
  • Maintaining excellent relations with high-level decision-makers 
  • Reporting weekly and monthly bookings & forecasts against targets in Salesforce
  • Maintaining accurate and current client records, with comprehensive notes and history.

The successful candidate will have proven inside sales experience, ideally within the Higher Education sector, selling directly to decision-makers and have an excellent sales track record. An understanding of consultative selling and account management is required, as are excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. This role will suit candidates who are driven, tenacious, and have a consultative sales approach, and those who work well individually and as part of a team. The ability to provide accurate reports and forecasts and experience of Salesforce or similar CRM is essential. Professional proficiency in a European language would be an advantage.
