Our client, an innovative global leader in insights, analytics, and subscription-based services, is looking for a Sales Consultant for France and Spain to focus on prospecting and gaining new customers.

Reporting to the Sales Manager for Europe, the Sales Consultant will be responsible for the consultative promotion and selling of scientific and patent-related information solutions to Legal, R&D and Business departments of client organisations. The main responsibilities include:

  • Proactively seeking new business opportunities and finding new customers
  • Meeting sales targets and activity goals
  • Understanding client needs and issues
  • Working consultatively and creatively to find solutions
  • Steering relationships towards strategic partnerships status
  • Liaising effectively with internal support services to maximize sales opportunities
  • Prioritising and managing time effectively
  • Responsibility for identifying own training and developmental on an on-going basis
  • 75% time spent on face-to-face or online meetings with clients in France and Spain.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of successful consultative selling and ideally a knowledge of the engineering and technology sectors. Prior information industry sector experience is preferred. You will have excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills and be a great team player with the ability to work on your own initiative. Fluency in French is essential and fluency in Spanish is desirable.
