Our client, a leading global academic and professional content provider, is looking to recruit a (Senior) Director of Sales Strategy and Implementation to help facilitate their growth in digital products and services.

Reporting to the VP of Global Sales, the (Senior) Director of Sales Strategy and Implementation will develop and implement a sales transformation plan to help drive forward sales optimisation and alignment strategies with a focus on digital products and services. The main responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing implementation plans for sales transformation with management
  • Focusing on resource allocation and how the sales team is positioned and deployed globally
  • Creating improved pipeline visibility/metrics on key products, growing areas of the business
  • Ensuring sales teams are equipped with the tools and training required to execute the plan
  • Participating actively in Sales Compensation and Incentive planning
  • Providing analytical insights to help steer sales efforts
  • Defining and implementing business-critical metrics, including key leading indicators
  • Identifying, understanding and articulating business process requirements and systems.

The ideal candidate will have proven senior sales experience in sales strategy and operations within a digital publishing or a SaaS company, with significant experience in sales implementation and alignment planning.  You will ideally have experience managing territory optimisation and sales compensation planning.  You will be a motivated, articulate, independent, self-starter with exceptional analytical skills and superb presentation skills. Some financial planning experience would be an advantage.
