An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking for a Senior Projects Coordinator to manage key operational projects and tasks, including troubleshooting, process efficiencies, documentation and business communication, for the publisher’s global platforms.

The Senior Project Coordinator will manage both addition of new journals to the platform as well as the quality and timely delivery of content in support of their rapidly growing Open Access programme. Reporting to the Head of Global Production Technology Development, the main responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating projects, including scheduling and business reporting to ensure completion
  • Overseeing tasks delegated to the UK and Overseas product support teams to ensure optimal use of team resources
  • Managing purchase ordering and invoicing to ensure timely payment to vendors
  • Liaising with key stakeholders regarding new requirements to ensure effective business delivery
  • Collaborating with the global team on new process refinement/metrics to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Coordinating the writing/distribution of internal applications content, providing process documentation/training.

The successful candidate will have solid academic publishing experience and excellent knowledge of XML. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, as are proven communication, data analysis and problem-solving skills. Experience managing and training team members would be an advantage.
