Our client, one of the world’s largest and most successful providers of reference and learning content for technical and business topics, is seeking a UK field-based Strategic Account Manager to join their SaaS e-learning platform sales team. You will be joining a company that innovates around the customer and ensures its sales professionals have what they need to succeed.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, Strategic Accounts, the main responsibilities include:

  • Managing key clients, responsibility for renewal and growth strategies across accounts
  • Managing sales process, growing current implementation, upgrading and introducing new service levels
  • Strategic account planning to ensure alignment with client initiatives and success metrics
  • Being the “resident expert” for each account and their respective industries
  • Working with clients to create strategies to promote awareness, adoption, and expansion
  • Growing platform and learning services solutions with appropriate correspondence/visits
  • Introducing and upselling new products and services to customers
  • Providing client feedback to the organisation in a timely and productive manner
  • Building contacts/networks in new areas of the organisations - beyond original stakeholders
  • Working with CRM support team to analyse overall account health.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales or account management and experience of cloud-based corporate learning services. An understanding of subscription models, web-based selling tools, and consultative-sales training are required, as is an excellent business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work with highly collaborative teams. Experience working with learning and development, HR, and IT professionals is preferred.
