This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading research content and technology provider who are looking to hire a field-based Account Manager to cover their Central European territory.

This role is exclusive to Telfer Partners.

The Account Manager will lead and coordinate sales activity using expertise and strong relationships with colleagues, such as product specialists and marketing teams, to meet and exceed sales targets.  Reporting into the Senior Sales Manager, the key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and leading the assigned territory, including strategic account planning
  • Capturing and understanding the key requirements of prospects, building sound business cases
  • Identifying and targeting new business, using webinars, marketing campaigns and events
  • Consulting potential clients and key stakeholders with solution-oriented advice
  • Demonstrating solutions in cooperation with the internal specialist departments
  • Leading proposal developments, value propositions, RFIs, RFPs, tender processes and contract negotiations
  • Taking an interest in existing customer activity to share with the market
  • Ensuring that pipeline and account status is up to date in the CRM
  • Knowledge and understanding of the product portfolio for up/cross-selling
  • Frequent national and international travel.

To be considered for this role you must have proven experience in Enterprise SaaS solution sales, and significant success in selling and closing customers, whilst creating value and managing pipeline with multiple opportunities. The ability to accurately forecast and manage the sales funnel for the assigned account territory is essential, as is the ability to develop a deep understanding of product line and client base. Excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential, as is a professional fluency in English, and ideally Hungarian. Knowledge of Higher Education would be an advantage.

This role requires up to 75% travel within territory and for the first 18 months is predominately based in the Hamburg office.
