An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning digital publisher of academic resources as a Consortia Relations Project Manager. Reporting to the Head of Sales Development this brand new role will be responsible for supporting the development of new and existing sales relationships with library consortia in North America.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Supporting the implementation of the sales strategy and tactical plans across the designated consortial opportunities in the US and Canada
  • Effective project management across the product portfolio, with an emphasis on accuracy, data analysis and excellent prioritisation
  • Work with stakeholders in other key teams across the business including Finance, Customer Support, Editorial, Platform Development, to implement solutions for consortial partnerships
  • Develop and lead reporting on market data and sales performance for consortia markets
  • Introduce our products to both new and existing customers via a range of effective communication methods
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales, Marketing, Engagement (faculty sales and post-sales customer relations), and Editorial teams to leverage market and customer intelligence
  • Analyse and accurately maintain data in the CRM and other tools, for effective customer and opportunities management, and to facilitate reporting and inform strategic decisions
  • Tracking of offers and process in project management software.

Ideal candidates will have experience in customer success, project management, sales support or front-line sales demonstrating a customer focused attitude and ability to support the success of large and complex deals. Outstanding communication skills will be essential to engage all audiences, deliver presentations, negotiate and persuade key stakeholders at all levels of management. Professional knowledge of the publishing, academic library or EdTech sectors and experience with CRM systems is desired. Individuals suited to this role will have excellent analytical and organisational skills combined with commercial acumen.
