A world-renowned online course provider is looking for a Content Project Manager with knowledge of digital publishing processes and excellent editorial skills to join their content team as they look to expand. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of innovative educational products in a fast-changing environment.

This role reports to the Publishing Manager and will be responsible for project managing the course production process from authoring to sign off, as well as managing the implementation of continuous improvements to existing courses.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing content workflow to ensure all content development projects run on schedule and to budget, resolving any potential delays
  • Managing authors and editors to provide clarity to ensure content is fit for purpose and of the highest quality
  • Evaluating content and liaising closely with the rest of the content team to ensure high editorial standards
  • Collaborating with the in-house team on content development for video, audio and other types of content asset
  • Updating editorial documentation and enhancing plans and briefs with appropriate detail
  • Implementing new workflows and tools for the continuous improvement of the content creation process
  • Providing the marketing and sales team with up-to-date information for materials and events
  • Supporting the team to evaluate and continuously improve content, participating in the content design process and assisting with a programme of user research.

Suitable candidates will have experience of managing digital content workflows and possess strong organisational skills with significant experience of delivering complex projects to deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and proven editorial skills along with an understanding of learning design either through teaching or educational publishing is required. A passion for education, a ‘can-do’ attitude and an adaptable approach are essential. Experience of working with an LMS and other digital e-learning tools is desirable.
