Custom, Enterprise and Foreign Rights Manager – HE

Our client, a world-renowned education and technology provider, is currently looking for a Custom, Enterprise and Foreign Rights Manager, for their Higher & Vocational Education Publishing department, with responsibility for the smooth and efficient delivery of the custom and enterprise publishing programme and their foreign rights programme.

The role involves ensuring projects are produced on time, by managing schedules and setting appropriate pricing to ensure profitability. Reporting to the Head of HE and Vocational Publishing, the main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the custom schedule from initial enquiry through to delivery
  • Scheduling and tracking of the Custom programme from initial request to publication and sale
  • Ensuring Custom projects are published in time and meet customer specifications
  • Attending internal business unit meetings to report on progress and developments
  • Supporting the sales team and sales process for Custom and Enterprise programme
  • Managing enterprise agreement workflows and processes with sales and commercial teams
  • Ensuring enterprise and digital agreements are managed/executed in a timely and accurate way
  • Maintaining digital enterprise schedules from initial enquiry through to delivery
  • Ensuring enterprise projects are delivered on time and meet customer’s specifications
  • Maintaining administration for the digital enterprise publishing programme
  • Managing the foreign rights requests and programme, and ongoing maintenance.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in custom and enterprise and foreign rights, of managing projects through due processes, and preferably experience within an editorial or production role in the publishing industry. Candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, time-management and decision-making skills, together with strong attention to detail, and great ICT skills. This role may involve some travel to attend conferences, trade fairs, and to meet authors and instructors.
