Executive Director of Executive Education – The Møller Institute

The Møller Institute Churchill College University of Cambridge, renowned for delivering world-class executive education programmes, is actively seeking an accomplished Executive Director to join their Senior Management Team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping strategic development and business planning. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will assume operational leadership, driving excellence in the Institute’s Executive Education business.
Actively contribute to strategy development and business planning processes
Act as a role model to promote and uphold the Institute’s values of Transparency, Respect, Generosity, Integrity, Ingenuity
Provide input and feedback into the overall strategic, operating and financial plans for the Institute
Act as a guide and mentor to team members across the Institute’s various business groups
Be an Active member or Deputise for the CEO on committees / Boards and College working groups as required
Provide direction and or feedback as required in relation to the Institute’s operating Policies and Procedures
Membership of recruitment and disciplinary panels from time to time as recommended by the Director of Finance and Shared Services
Shape and Support the Institute’s business development activities
Functional leadership of the Client Development Team driving the delivery of the Institute’s Client and Business Development strategies and activities
Identification of commercial and strategic partnerships
Development of stakeholder relationships with commercial, educational and government partners
Supporting the management of the Institute’s Associate Network – making recommendations to the Director Education and Leadership Development and the CEO for consideration by the Education Standard Committee for Nominations, Performance Management and Renewal processes
Performance Monitoring – of all direct reports
To manage workloads, workflow and staffing levels to ensure a consistent level of productivity is maintained.
Executive Director: Skills/experience
Significant experience of designing and delivering outstanding Executive Education programmes is highly desirable but not essential
Background in professional services is desirable
Experience working with subject matter experts
Strong understanding of long-term client relationship management
Commitment to continuous personal and professional development
Line management experience and leadership qualities
A background in goal oriented B2B sales
Substantial, demonstrable experience of proposal writing and negotiating agreement/contracts
Experience of budget and Profit & Loss management
Sound understanding of the challenges faced at senior levels of organisations across charity, non-profit and for-profit international organisations
Highly motivated, articulate, flexible, organised. Able to work in a team but comfortable operating autonomously
