A leading academic and professional publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking for a Global Intranet Manager to join their Internal Communications Team.

As part of the global Corporate Communications team, Internal Communications work across the business with key stakeholders to communicate news and information effectively. The main purpose of this role is to help shape the strategy of the internal communications platform to drive engagement and improve increased communication. Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Drive the content and communications strategy for the intranet to increase engagement
  • Review the current system and suggest improvements to deliver a user-friendly design
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders, including senior management
  • Ownership of editorial control across the intranet ensuring it is aligned with content strategy
  • Oversee user-generated content
  • Develop and monitor site analytics, making recommendations based on the data
  • Design and implement an intranet governance strategy
  • Coordinate the efforts of a global community of content owners and page editors and encourage a consistent approach
  • Maintain a good understanding of industry best practice and new technological opportunities that can add business and end-user value.

Suitable candidates will have experience within intranet management and have exceptional communication skills showing they can disseminate information and content effectively across an organisation. Experience in using Microsoft Office 365 Office suite including SharePoint, social software, and other web-based technologies designed to support internal communication strategies. A strong understanding of the principles of usability and user experience; and the principles of information architecture design for intranets. Demonstrable experience of driving internal platform strategies that engage employees across the Intranet would be advantageous.
