An academic publisher, with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years, is looking for a Head of Marketing Data and Analytics to lead a team providing customer and product data, customer insight and marketing analytics for the Global Marketing Department and overall business.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the main responsibilities include:
- Leading global marketing and product data strategy, including acquisition and management of marketing data
- Leading data capture for all products and websites, data analytics, customer insights, and global data compliance
- Managing staff team resourcing and development/performance of staff in UK and India
- Being the business lead for data architecture and marketing technology projects
- Overall responsibility for leading campaign and data analytics, including analysing and interpreting data
- Leading on best practice use of data for decision making throughout the department
- Ensuring accurate and consistent product data is uploaded and maintained
- Owning and managing the budget for data and analytics team
- Collaborating with the marketing services campaign team to ensure that data/analytics strategy is aligned with business needs
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded marketing strategist with significant marketing and team management experience and will ideally hold a formal marketing qualification. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with high IT literacy with the ability to understand complex IT and Marketing systems and their interaction with each other. Strong project management skills are required.
