This opportunity offers a senior role within the UK Schools Product team, presenting a chance to profoundly impact education. As the Head of Science, you’ll spearhead product leadership for a market-leading portfolio spanning Primary and Secondary education, encompassing the Sciences and
Psychology.
Your responsibilities include providing strategic leadership for UK Science and Psychology, advocating for pivotal educational projects and partnerships across the portfolio. Collaborating with the Product Director and other Heads of Portfolios, you’ll contribute to shaping the UK Schools Product Strategy.
Manage a market leading portfolio that covers Primary and Secondary Sciences and Psychology
Provide clear leadership on the strategy for UK Science and Psychology
Lead and develop a passionate and creative team of publishers and commissioning editors to ensure the development of market leading products and services
Develop a strong and diverse network of partners, authors, experts and educators so you and your team can develop products and services that meet users needs
Accountable for the UK Science team performing all activities to highest standards
Head of Science: Skills/experience
Creative and innovative mindset
Open and adaptable to change
Experience in the conceptualisation, development and delivery of innovative, successful educational products and services
Experience of UK Education markets and strong commercial experience and skills
Proven team leadership, management, negotiating, and influencing skills, with strong financial management skills
Extensive experience of school publishing or teaching in a relevant subject
Extensive experience of print and digital publishing and strategic partnership building
Extensive experience of managing teams
Detailed knowledge of UK Schools Publishing Processes.
A salary up to £68,000, bonus and benefits package is offered.
