Higher Education Sales Executive – Scandinavia

Our client, an academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years, is looking to recruit a HE Sales Executive for the Scandinavian Region to promote their suite of products and solutions.

Representing direct sales of their innovative products and solutions to academic customers within a rapidly changing marketplace, and reporting to the HE Sales Manager for Northern Europe, the main responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and contacting new business opportunities to generate adoptions
  • Developing and maximising sales across the print and digital portfolio
  • Achieving and exceeding targets for the territory
  • Building strong customer relationships with academics
  • Using and maintaining CRM to inform academic visits and forecast business revenue
  • Providing regular feedback on customers, collating and sharing with key stakeholders
  • Attending all sales, training, editorial, and marketing meetings, as required
  • Significant travel within the territory.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in a sales role within academic publishing, and ideally consultative, needs-based selling experience. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise a varied workload. A high-level proficiency of CRM and database management is desirable, as is an understanding of the Higher Education markets. Professional proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language is required.
