An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join its Corporate Communications department to support the development and delivery of their global internal communications strategy.

The main focus of the role is to support the business growth goals of the organisation through delivering impactful strategic communications around business strategy, culture and changes to policies and processes. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a strategic internal and executive communications plan
  • Work in close partnership with internal departments and senior stakeholders to execute communication initiatives and projects
  • Co-ordinating and producing employee communications through a variety of internal and executive communications
  • Managing the company’s internal communications channels
  • Supporting leadership and company meetings and other events
  • Supporting the companies evolving listening program to ensure that our actions and communications respond to staff aspirations and concerns
  • Advising senior managers on internal communications issues and best practices
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of internal communications to reinforce the culture and support staff understanding of the global business.

Suitable candidates will have experience in internal communications or strong relevant experience and transferable skills from another role. Exceptional communication skills, written and oral, are essential to deliver clear, effective messages. A team player approach with strong interpersonal skills able to work with a variety of internal stakeholders, with demonstrable project management skills and experience. Confident using social software and other web-based technologies.
