An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking for an Online Project Manager – Peer Review to oversee the work of the Online Peer Review team and proactively and collaboratively work across the business to improve efficiencies and effectiveness within the online peer review systems.

Reporting to the Executive Peer Review Manager, the main responsibilities include:
- Rolling out ScholarOne Manuscripts/peer review platforms to an agreed number of journals annually
- Supporting journals platforms when queries arise
- Assessing, developing and implementing new online features through system version releases
- Managing Editorial Assistants/Assistant Editors, setting objectives and reviewing performance
- Defining priorities, objectives and metrics for the Online Peer Review team
- Managing internal stakeholders to maximize the benefits of online peer review systems
- Exploring external product development and partnerships when required
- Contributing to due diligence and transition activities for journal acquisitions
- Supporting department-wide initiatives and projects, as required.
Successful candidates will have solid academic publishing experience, ideally within Journals publishing, and proven project management experience. A detailed understanding of online journal peer review and submission systems and direct experience of working with ScholarOne is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Previous line-management and training experience would be an advantage.
