Our Client, a world-leading software provider to the academic library market is looking for a Presales Consultant based in China to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical library solutions expertise for the sales force.

Presales Consultants collaborate by supporting RFPs/Tendering processes, product demos and product/solution questions raised by customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Attend meetings with potential customers to determine technical and business requirements
  • Provide consultation to Sales Managers and customers, via telephone, email or webinar
  • Provide effective product/technology demonstrations to audiences of varied technical knowledge
  • Provide technical solutions in a professional manner, ensure solution fit requirements
  • Interface with Professional Services team to ensure smooth transition from Sale to Delivery
  • Attends customer user group meetings, sales meetings, and occasional industry conferences
  • Support, facilitate and participate in relevant presales activities of local technology partners
  • Support and manage RFP process
  • Execute bid response plans, compile response package, fulfilment and response
  • Demonstrate customer focus by customizing bid responses.

Successful candidates will have technical presales, RFP, tenders and customer consulting experience. Knowledge of the academic and research library market in China would be desirable. Excellent communication skills, fluency in Mandarin and English is required as is the willingness and ability to travel frequently.
