A global scholarly publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking for a passionate individual with experience in leading motivated and empowered teams to join as a Senior Director, Product Management. Responsible for all stages of the product lifecycle from ideas through to transformational innovative digital products. Reporting to the Vice President, Product Innovation this role will lead an inclusive and empowered team who are passionate about the users experience and driving usage across all products.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for the outcomes delivered by the department through roadmap management across products to deliver new products and drive usage
  • Responsible for the overarching product / platform vision for each division supported
  • Leads a team who sees user experience as their core competency, understanding the priorities of our users and customers
  • Responsible for a team who is steeped in market knowledge and can accurately represent the voice of our users and customers
  • Owns and delivers the roadmap strategy across product portfolio that drives usage & engagement to support sales & renewals
  • Leads a team to deliver new product modules on time, on budget
  • Actively participates in business strategy development with the leadership teams
  • Effectively collaborates and influences leaders across all departments of the business to execute on the product strategy
  • Effectively manages stakeholders from across the business
  • Understands the dynamics of the academic library market.

Suitable candidates for this exciting position will have significant years of product management experience and specifically working within an online development environment. Individuals will need to have significant demonstrable experience in people management, strategy and budgeting. Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, working globally and building strong relationships whilst motivating and inspiring teams. A strong understanding of the library market is desired, and a strong commercial business sense is crucial.
