Senior Marketing Manager – OA Special Collections

An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking to recruit a Senior Marketing Manager to manage their Special Collections programme within a portfolio of open access journals, leading on new marketing initiatives and projects. The role reports to the Associate Head of Marketing – Open Access and will collaborate closely with leaders in editorial and marketing communications. Primary responsibilities will involve overseeing marketing and strategic development including creating and executing strategic marketing plans.
Senior Marketing Manager – Special Collections: Key responsibilities
Device strategic marketing plans for the special collections programme
Devise new digital marketing strategies
Work closely with marketing communication colleagues for tactical implementation
To analyse the results of marketing activities and report back to key stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders from across the marketing department, editorial and other functions within the business to facilitate effective projects and processes
Encourage innovation within the team
Demonstrate and embed values of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the team.
Senior Marketing Manager – Special Collections: Skills/experience
Significant experience of product marketing using the full marketing mix in a B2C setting
Strategic thinker with experience of analysing data to inform marketing activities
Marketing for special collections/issues/articles within Open Access publishing would be desirable
Strong communication skills including delivery of presentations and effective copywriting skills
Demonstrable experience of project management skills
Ability to think critically to find solutions to problems and identify new approaches to existing processes
Ability to influence and gain buy-in for new initiatives or proposals.
