Our client, one of the world’s largest education services companies, is looking for an Academic Consultant to join their successful sales team. Focussing on Higher Education Services, their leading print and digital courseware business, and covering the North West of England and Ireland.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager you will be accountable for revenue generation at module/ lecturer and departmental level, within Higher Education Institutions, in the assigned territory. You will focus on embedding print and digital products with key responsibilities including:

  • Executing the account strategy to maximise sales of digital and print products
  • Identifying and prioritising target modules in target accounts
  • Selling into Module Leaders, Course Directors, Heads of Departments, delivering compelling product demonstrations
  • Accelerating the transition from print products to digital services
  • Timely delivery of digital products to modules, including adequate stock in bookshops
  • Utilising appropriate sales tools within the sales process to increase effectiveness
  • Maintaining accurate and current details of contacts, calls and opportunities in CRM
  • Analysing pipeline information and other sales intelligence to prioritise Account Team activities
  • Delivering accurate and timely sales proposals at module level
  • Delivering departmental demonstrations to highlight Higher Education Services capabilities in line with departmental teaching and learning requirements
  • Maintaining product knowledge, keeping up to date with technological enhancements to platforms.

Successful candidates will be of graduate calibre, with proven consultative sales experience and a knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector. You will be target driven and customer focused, with strong organisational and planning skills. Able to manage a long sales cycle and keep on top of a busy pipeline. You will be based in or near the North West of England with the ability to travel across the territory and hold a full driving licence.
