The Account Services and E-Package Specialist Manager will provide exceptional customer support and guidance on flagship subscription products and services, responsible for the effective management and development of a portfolio of customer accounts. Working collaboratively with the Sales and Customer Services teams key responsibilities will include:

Building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with customers and their teams
Taking responsibility for customer loyalty and account retention
Participating alongside sales team in customer meetings as requested
Holding a deep understanding of customer need, acting as a product specialist to ensure customers’ subscriptions and e-packages service expectations are met
Supporting the Director and Customer Service Team Managers in achieving departmental goals, taking a creative and innovative approach to customer support activities
Taking a lead and working collaboratively with the sales team to ensure seamless onboarding of new customers. Acting as the main point of contact for the customer
Developing a strong commercial understanding of subscriptions, e-packages/ open access journals to support in the complex management of e-packages and transformational agreements
Encouraging and maintaining key relationships with current and potential publishing partners
Developing effective account management and subscription, e-packages renewal plans in conjunction with Customer Account Managers
Providing demonstrations and educating customers on specific products and services.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a customer service support environment, with strong relationship management abilities. Suitable candidates will be able to take a results’ focused and solution orientated approach, with outstanding organisation, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally educated to degree level with knowledge of e-journal licencing, Library systems and products.
