An award-winning, successful and growing digital academic publisher, is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to develop and deliver an effective strategic marketing programme for their global portfolio.

This role will provide strategic marketing management, planning, and implementation of activities across the world, supporting the growth or a digital portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the main responsibilities include:

  • Develop an effective strategic marketing programme
  • Manage and implement campaigns using a range of marketing activities including email campaigns
  • Monitor campaign performance and effectiveness, adjusting future marketing accordingly
  • Generate high-quality leads for the Sales team via effective marketing campaigns
  • Develop robust sales tools tailored and relevant to each Sales region
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of marketing activity
  • Deputise for and work closely with the HoM for the smooth running of the department
  • Manage the marketing budget, providing forecasts and flagging under/overspend
  • Help to manage a family of brands, ensuring consistency across all channels.

The successful candidate will have solid relevant marketing experience managing marketing campaigns for a set product portfolio or region, have a solid understanding of marketing theory and techniques and experience writing marketing plans. You will have excellent email marketing copywriting skills. A passion for history is desirable as are creative/design skills.

This role could be largely home-based, visiting the Wiltshire office as little as one day every two to three weeks on a permanent basis.
