A leading academic publisher has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Project Improvement Lead to join their academic sales function leading continuous improvement projects targeted at processes covering the whole sales cycle for their academic product catalogue.
Lead Continuous Improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of end-to-end processes through elimination of waste, process standardisation and automation
Provide coaching support to other Lean trainees in the planning and execution of improvement events and projects to ensure consistently high standards
Act as an ambassador for continuous improvement, motivating colleagues to propose and help to implement CI changes
Score improvement ideas submitted by the department, allowing improvement projects to be appropriately prioritised
Ensure improvement events are focused on the highest return on investment opportunities
Communicate progress and implementation of CI projects to ensure predicted benefits are realised
Act as product owner for academic sales systems taking a lead role on projects and change initiatives by engaging stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet requirements, mobilising business user resource for testing, and managing the implementation of operational change.
Competency in basic Lean Six Sigma tools such as project charters, SIPOC diagrams, Value Stream Maps, Pareto charts, effort/impact charts etc
Confident communicator, able to facilitate workshops and make presentations to stakeholders at all levels
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience representing users as a product owner or Subject Matter Expert on technology projects or change initiatives.
