A world leading not-for-profit STM society is recruiting an Education Executive to manage delivery of a scholarship scheme for trainee chemistry teachers, administered on behalf of the Department for Education in England.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, Teacher Supply, you will be project managing the Initial Teacher Training scholarship scheme. This is a busy, fast paced role within a dynamic and innovative team. The main responsibilities include:
- Managing an online application process and shortlisting tasks
- Organising all the logistics for virtual scholarship assessment events and an in-person ‘Welcome’ event for successful scholars
- Acting as the main point of contact for applicants, scholars, contractors and the scholarship team at the Department for Education
- Working with a wide range of colleagues from across the organisation to ensure the scheme is successfully promoted and delivered on time and within budget
- Collating accurate information and financial data for internal and external reporting
- Coordinating attendance at teacher recruitment events
- Organising the delivery of a scholar support package.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of secondary school chemistry education and initial teacher training routes. Be able to take a customer focused approach, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, alongside strong prioritisation and project management experience. This role would suit someone with a degree in chemical science and a teaching qualification/ experience.
