A world leading not-for-profit organisation and professional body is looking for a Fundraiser (Partnership Lead) to manage partnerships with Trusts and Foundations, generating income for the organisations charitable activities.

Reporting to the Manager – Strategic Partnerships, the role will join a small team of specialists focusing on forming strategic partnerships with major donors, playing a central role in implementing the organisations strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and developing relationships with Trustees and senior representatives of Trusts and Foundations, and similar individuals in Government Departments & Agencies
  • Direct responsibility for achieving income target.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to create proposals and gain expertise, material and financial support for strategic projects in priority countries
  • Ensuring that an appropriate level of stewardship is enjoyed by all donors, existing and new
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable Sector legislation, best practice and data protection
  • Contributing to the preparation of timely management reports, budgets and forecasts
  • Developing an understanding of market trends and competitor activities
  • Effectively influencing within and outside own area
  • Delivering on agreed commitments and the engagement of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience and success in major donor fundraising ideally with hands on experience of cultivating partnerships at Foundation and Trust level. An interest in learning about other cultures is essential for this role as is a demonstrable interest in the role of science and technology in tackling challenges facing society. Educated to degree level you will have strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills in order to draft funding proposals with potential partners and communicate effectively with staff and customers worldwide.
