Our client, one of the world’s leading information services provider, is looking to recruit a Library Software Engineer, to join their Global Software Services team. This team is committed to increasing sales and adoption of technology-enabled products internationally through Field Sales Engineering.

As the primary technical advisor and product advocate for the regional Sales team and their most important customers, you would be responsible for UI customizations and extensions, API integration, and small app development. The role is field-based in the UK. The main responsibilities include:
- Developing and supporting new applications
- Supporting regional Library Services Teams in maintaining, troubleshooting and refactoring existing applications
- Maintaining and sharing expertise on code languages used by the Library Services Teams
- Being the authoritative expert on technology aspects of platform functionality, markets, and trends
- Establishing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the trial process and post-sales support/nurturing
- Authoring and assisting with documentation to support the pre-sales process.
The successful candidate will have solid coding and programming experience. Demonstrable experience of, and excellence in, presenting as well as written communication detailing technology, the Internet, or software application products to internal and external audiences and management is required. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, React with Redux, Node.js development and working with online research database platforms and integrated library systems are desirable. Previous experience working in an academic setting is also desirable. This role involves regular regional and occasional international travel. A valid driver’s licence is required.
