Marketing Manager – Open Access

Our client, a leading and growing not-for-profit STM Open Access journal publisher, is recruiting for a Marketing Manager to closely collaborate with Editorial and Publishing departments to develop and execute marketing strategies that engage the researcher community. The successful candidate will leverage data, customer insights, and multi-channel marketing to deliver impactful campaigns, while keeping key stakeholders informed on organisational developments and offerings.
Build multi-channel approaches for marketing programs
Evaluate customer & competitive research, market conditions and sales performance
Deliver campaigns, working to established targets
Cultivate a data-driven understanding & assessment of audience needs
Measure results through use of established reporting tools and metrics
Evaluate campaign and scholarly publishing marketing trends
Provide frameworks for measuring the impact of communications
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement outreach strategy, plans and deliverables.
Marketing Manager: Skills/experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in product marketing, preferably in the publishing industry, with a focus on researchers
Self-directed with a strong ability to execute scalable, cross-channel marketing strategies and measure ROI
Experience working with remote or contract teams
Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle complex projects
Advanced copywriting and effective campaign delivery
Collaborative, mature, and tactful with excellent communication skills
Some national and international travel required
Flexibility to work across time zones.
