New Product Manager/Developer – Research Methods

An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking to recruit a Product Manager to lead product discovery for new product ideas to support researchers and uncover future potential revenue streams.

Working in a small and flexible team that has the goal of finding and developing new, innovative products that researchers the Product Manager will have the following key accountabilities:

  • Own full cycle of product development, from problem definition to launch
  • Responsibility for an early-stage product and the next best steps in its development
  • Developing mockups and prototypes on your own and together with developers
  • Finding and reaching out to potential users to test the solution
  • Running experiments to validate business and charging models
  • Long term landscaping of the market, summarizing, synthesizing, identifying and defining problems and opportunities
  • Sizing and evaluate markets opportunities with the team
  • Pricing products and modelling the costs and revenues.

The successful candidate will have solid product management experience, especially in the early stages of product development from defining the problem to finding the product market fit. An awareness of the Higher Education research landscape is desirable. Experience with market and user research and integrating user feedback along with an understanding of the latest tech trends, including technologies for teaching and learning is required.
