A global research publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking to recruit a Product Manager to join the Product Innovation team. This is a truly exciting opportunity to work on emerging innovative products for the academic market which will be a strategic central part of our client’s growth in this area. Working closely with other departments and functions this is a welcoming and fun team who are focused on continuous improvement and have a user centred approach to product design.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and delivery of Books & Reference and Skills product roadmaps
  • Manage the prioritisation, definition and delivery of product enhancement projects, collaborating with relevant stakeholders
  • Talk accurately about your core user personas and their common user journeys drawing on data
  • Explore new enhancement concepts, effectively drawing on user research and web analytics as well as collaboration with UX Designers to test, validate and evolve
  • Lead the creation of user stories for enhancement projects
  • Lead project teams and meetings, driving discussions and decision making
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product(s), who are using them and how by analysing product usage data and conducting user research
  • Interact regularly with product customers and users to ensure full understanding of their wants, needs and perspectives
  • Actively engage in emerging technologies, techniques and innovations to drive strategic business decisions.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced product manager with demonstrable examples of being data-driven and user-focused with a strong attention to detail. Someone who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering products and product enhancements that improve the customer experience will do well in this role. Suitable candidates will need to be excellent communicators with strong relationship management skills with the confidence to work with multiple stakeholders including at senior management level. A strong knowledge of product management best practices and a good understanding of the latest tech trends will be required.
